Digitizing our Yearbook . . . .

Photography-mainFor the 2015-16 school year, we have a new elective – Yearbook!  It is a yearlong program and the students who get this class will be putting together the yearbook, while learning about the many aspects of digital media!

As this is a new class, there are many tools needed to make it a success.  The students will be using Nikon SLR Cameras to document the school year.  They will learn about photography, advertising, budgeting, marketing and teamwork.

To help obtain the needed equipment, Ms. Williams has created a classroom project request on a 501(c)3 charity website called DonorsChoose.org.

She asking for any donation possible to the students – no matter the size, it will help the students.  This week only, any donation you make to the project will be doubled!  If you know anyone who is passionate about education, photography, etc, please pass this along.  Your tax-deductible donation will have a direct impact on at least 30 or more students (and many more in the future), and you’ll hear back from our class about your impact on our learning!

To learn more or donate:

  1. Visit Ms. Williams’ Teacher Page, Digitizing Our Yearbook
  2. Enter the amount of your donation, and click “Give”
  3. During check-out, enter the word SPARK where it says “Promo or gift code”, and your donation will be matched dollar for dollar (up to $100).

The SPARK promo code will double your donation for the next 7 days.

Please feel free to send me any questions you may have, and know that my students and I greatly appreciate your support.

To increase your donation even more, check with your Human Resource Department to see if they offer Donation Matching!  Many companies will match your donation dollar for dollar, which can triple your donation if donate by May 3rd!
